A Midwestern insurance broker is acquiring a Northeastern benefits consulting firm.
Hub International Ltd., Chicago, says it has bought the assets of United Benefit Consulting Inc., Smithtown, N.Y.
The price of the deal was not immediately available.
Susan Sajiun-Fitzharris, president of United Benefit, will become a vice president with HUB’s HUB Northeast unit.
United Benefit was formed in 1972. It sells premium only plans, voluntary plans and other types of plans as well as traditional group health plans and group ancillary benefit plans.
