A financial services company has updated the services it offers to help employers manage retirement plan risk.
The retirement plans group at Hartford Financial Services Group Inc., Hartford, has picked Mesirow Financial Investment Strategies, a unit of Mesirow Financial Holdings Inc., Chicago, to help defined contribution retirement plan sponsors choose investment options.
Mesirow also will act as co-fiduciary for the investment options it recommends, Hartford says.
Hartford also has eliminated the fees it has been charging for its Fiduciary Assure fiduciary assistance program, and it has increased the number of investment options covered by the service, the company says.
