The Million Dollar Round Table Foundation is giving $10,000 to the Red Cross Society of China to help support the victims of the 7.9 magnitude earthquake that hit the Sichuan Province in southwestern China in May.

Officials now estimate that about 70,000 people died in the earthquake.

The MDRT Foundation grant will support those who have been directly affected by the disaster, according to the MDRT Foundation, Park Ridge, Ill.

Wu Xue Jun, a 10-year MDRT member who lives in Beijing and serves as the MDRT China zone chairman, will present the grant to the Red Cross.
