A disability insurer has released a corporate social responsibility report.

Unum Group Corp., Chattanooga, Tenn., discusses the $6 million it gave to charities, the $2.3 million its employees gave, and the 50,000 hours its employees spent working as volunteers.

The report also covers the benefits of the products it sells, corporate governance efforts, and environmental responsibility efforts, the company says.

Unum notes that it started a ride share program this year.

Since 2006, the company has recycled about 2,100 tons of paper and cardboard.
