A Medicare Advantage carrier is setting up an administrative system from an outside vendor.
Universal American Corp., Rye Brook, N.Y., is using the CareAdvance Medicare care management software module from TriZetto Group Inc., Newport Beach, Calif.
Universal American will use the care management system to manage utilization and run health improvement programs for the company’s 240,000 Medicare Advantage plan members, according to TriZetto.
The module can classify plan members based on many different geriatric syndromes, such as frailty, falls and ulcers, TriZetto says.
