Linda Bohrer will be the acting director of the Missouri Department of Insurance, Financial Institutions and Professional Registration.
Bohrer will fill in for Doug Ommen, who is leaving to join the Missouri Administrative Hearing Commission.
Bohrer started working for the Missouri insurance department in 1994 and now is director of the department’s insurance market regulation division.
Bohrer also has worked in the underwriting and claims sections at a property-casualty company.
Bohrer has a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
