The Internal Revenue Service wants to fill 3 seats on the 30-member IRS Advisory Council.

IRSAC gives the IRS recommendations about tax administration.

Council members include enrolled actuaries and business representatives as well as tax attorneys, certified public accountants, enrolled agents, and appraisers, officials say.

The new council members will serve 3-year terms that will start in January 2009.

Applications are due June 16.
