Nevada Insurance Commissioner Alice Molasky-Arman plans to give up her post Sept. 7.

Molasky-Arman was appointed to her post in January 1995 and is the longest-serving insurance commissioner in Nevada history, state officials say.

The Nevada Department of Business and Industry will be launching a nationwide search to find a new commissioner, and it hopes to have a successor lined up by September, officials say.
