Life Settlement Awareness Month to Include Panels Featuring Experienced Industry Professionals

Life Settlement Solutions, Inc., San Diego, is giving financial professionals the chance to learn more about the secondary market for life insurance from the knowledgeable financial professionals who know it best.

As part of Life Settlement Awareness Month, Life Settlement Solutions is hosting a series of free-of-charge Webcasts, including two that will feature experienced professionals discussing important life-settlement related topics.

The first panel, Life Settlement Industry Experts: Regulatory Forces, will be held on June 10, 2008. It will feature Brian Casey of Locke, Lord, Bissell & Liddell, Scott Cipinko of the Life Insurance Finance Association (LIFA) and Paul Kirkman of 21 Services, and focus on the regulatory atmosphere and current trends in the secondary market.

The second panel, Life Settlement Industry Experts: The Market Evolution, will be held on June 30, 2008 and feature North Dakota representative George Keiser, Roscoe Smith of Agent Media Corp. and Doug Head of the Life Insurance Settlement Association (LISA). This panel will focus on the state of the market and factors currently affecting the life-settlement industry.

Life Settlement Awareness Month was created to help increase financial professionals’ awareness and knowledge of the secondary market, while increasing the amount of educational sources and marketing tools available to those in the industry.

As part of the month-long event, Life Settlement Solutions is hosting a number of educational webinars covering topics such as advanced strategies, partnering with a broker or provider, the transaction process and issues facing investors. Life Settlement

Awareness Month will also include a newly certified continuing education course for all 50 states. The course will cover the life-settlement industry, ways to get involved and the various uses of life settlements, and could count for up to eight credit hours of life insurance licensing continuing education. Interested professionals should contact their individual state to verify the available number of approved credit hours.

Life Settlement Solutions is preparing for Life Settlement Awareness Month by asking financial professionals to submit examples explaining how life settlements have benefited their clients. Submitted life-changing stories may be included on the Life Settlement Awareness Month Web site and in other promotional materials. Financial professionals interested in participating can e-mail their stories to [email protected]. Please keep in mind submitted stories should not include any private client information.
