Lumber Company Lets DC Plan Vendor Run DB Plan

Roseburg Forest Products Company has agreed to use New York Life Retirement Plan Services to administer the Carpenters Industry Council defined benefit pension plan.

Roseburg Forest, Dillard, Ore., already has been using New York Life Retirement, Westwood, Mass., a unit of New York Life Insurance Company, New York, to manage other company retirement plans.

New York Life Retirement now manages Roseburg Forest plans with a total of $440 million in assets, 3,900 defined contribution participants and 9,085 defined benefit participants, New York Life Retirement says.

Roseburg Forest has been buying retirement plan services from New York Life since 1997.
