Long-term care awareness week will receive additional support this year, with the backing of 10 of the industry’s leading insurers. Jesse Slome, executive director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance, the organization that sponsors Long-Term Care Awareness Week, announced the collaborative effort at the same time he laid out plans for an Internet resource.

Senior advisors will be able to get help from AALTCI in the form of an Awareness Week Online Resource Center, www.yourltcsuccess.com, which will feature marketing and communications tools.

“The Web site will provide generic letters, phone scripts, downloadable fiveminute sales audios and reproducible marketing material for producers with all levels of knowledge about long term care planning,” Slome said. Insurers signed on to partner with AALTCI are:

  • Allianz Life
  • Genworth Financial
  • John Hancock
