Company to pay record dividend

The Guardian Life Insurance Co. has been in existence since 1860, so it has a long history. The year 2007 will mark a record for the 146-yearold company. Participating policyholders will share in a record dividend payment of $618 million, a $41 million increase over the 2006 dividend.

Guardian said 96 percent of its participating life policyholders will receive a dividend equal to or
