Medica Health Plans has introduced a dental insurance program for Medica individual health plan members ages 18 to 64.
The Medica Direct Dental for Individuals program can provide coverage for family members of individual health insureds as well as the insured individuals themselves, according to Medica, Minnetonka, Minn.
Medica will be getting the dental coverage from Delta Dental of Minnesota, Eagan, Minn.
The program will offer a choice of 3 plan designs, including a preventive-only plan and a plan that will cover other types of dental procedures.
The price of the preventive-only plan will start at $18.85 per month, Medica says.
Medica provides or administers health coverage for 1.4 million residents of Minneapolis and other communities in the Upper Midwest.
