Calling it a policy that appeals to business owners and those who are looking at various estate planning options, ING introduced its Indexed Strategic Accumulator Universal Life policy. In addition to a fixed component where interest credited to the policy is based on the insurance company’s portfolio, Strategic Accumulator has an indexed strategy wherein values are credited a guaranteed minimum rate plus an index credit that is linked to increases in the S&P 500.

The product is designed for cashvalue growth, according to ING, especially in the early years. In addition, the product offers three death benefit options, no surrender charges and is guaranteed issue.

“An indexed UL offers a nice alternative for individuals who want the death benefit protection, cash-value buildup and the flexibility of a universal life insurance policy, with an upside potential to the cash value when the markets are strong,” said Jim Gelder, president of ING Life Distribution.

Strategic Accumulator is issued by Security Life of Denver Insurance Co. For more information, visit www.ing.com/us.
