Dental plan brings affordable coverage

Poor oral health has been tied to myriad other health problems, as mouth problems become larger bodywide problems. Seniors especially need to take care of their teeth and gums. To that end, eHealth Companion has introduced eHealth Companion Dental, a hybrid dental plan that combines traditional insurance indemnity coverage with PPO discounts.

The program offers three plans and is available to people in the 65-plus market. eHealth says it can keep the costs low because the plans focus on providing the benefits people need to maintain oral health, excluding many benefits people may never use. The best value, according to the company, comes within the PPO network, but people are free to choose any dentist.
