More than 4.5 million seniors will soon have access to a program that may be able to find them more benefits and resources for which they are eligible. Seniors who are members of Humana’s Medicare program have access to the National Council on Aging’s Benefits CheckUp, a Web-based service that focuses on finding benefits programs that help older Americans who live on limited income.

The Benefits CheckUp service finds benefits programs that help pay for medical costs, prescription drugs, heating bills, rent, meals and more.

“Benefits CheckUp will enable Humana’s members to quickly find and, in some cases, apply for benefits they might not have known about previously, all without leaving home,” says Stuart Spector, NCOA’s senior vice president of benefits access.
