No, but it didn’t used to be that way. I gave my ex-wife a $300,000 house, so I’ve been living in an apartment since my divorce. I do have some investments and retirement plans in place, but I’m not sure how a recession will affect that money. By the time I quit working, who knows how much I’ll have.”

I really don’t think so. My wife hasn’t worked in years because of a disability, and we’ve already downsized to a smaller house to save money. I’m 62, self-employed and don’t get any pension or 401(k) funding, and my wife just has a small IRA. We’re hoping to build up more equity in our house before I can’t work anymore.”

I have a meeting with my advisor next month, so I’ll get back to you then. I need to find out how all these economic problems will affect me in the long run before I can really say too much.”

Nope! And I don’t really care right now. I’m between jobs right now and am traveling and having fun. This is the first time since I was 15 that I haven’t had a job, so I’m taking advantage of these opportunities when they come, because I’ll probably be working forever.”
