A unit of MetLife Inc. is using a short cartoon to try to educate consumers about how insurance works.

MetLife, New York, says Snoopy will appear in the new cartoon, “Everybody Into The Pool,” to explain the concept of pooling risk.

MetLife created the site in an effort to simplify the process of buying life insurance, the company says.
