A human resources firm that serves the biggest corporations say it now wants to serve U.S. employers with fewer than 15,000 employees.

Hewitt Associates Inc., Lincolnshire, Ill., says it has added a more flexible administration product, the Core Benefit Administration program, and also developed benefits consulting services packages tailored to meet the needs of midsize employers.

Hewitt also is working with another company to develop a system for selecting and managing health and welfare plan vendors, including seeking bids and negotiating renewals.
