A unit of Humana Inc. is expanding availability of the HumanaOne individual and family major medical insurance products.

HumanaOne, Waukesha, Wis., an individual health insurance subsidiary of Humana, Louisville, Ky., says the products now are available in Alabama, Arkansas, Iowa, Indiana, Mississippi, Nebraska, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Utah.

The collection includes low-deductible plans that resemble traditional employer-sponsored plans, high-deductible plans that are compatible with health savings accounts, and plans aimed at young adults and other customers who want low-cost safety net coverage, according to HumanaOne.

HumanaOne is guaranteeing monthly premium rates on the products for a year after purchase.

HumanaOne introduced the products in 15 states in 2007.

HumanaOne is selling the plans through agents and brokers as well as through direct sales channels.
