Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company is doing more to make the studies it conducts on consumers’ preparations for their later years available to the general public.

The retirement services division of MassMutual, Springfield, Mass., has posted a collection of papers written by researchers at the MassMutual Center for Behavioral Research.

The library is available at Document Link

Papers cover topics such as tools for increasing participation rates.

The Center for Behavioral Research now is evaluating the effects of using high default deferral rates, and preliminary results show that one plan has a 96% participation rate with an 8% default deferral rate, MassMutual says.
