The insurance affiliate of a major association is beefing up dental plan benefits.

AARP Services Inc., Washington, says AARP Dental Insurance Plans administered by Delta Dental, San Francisco, will add coverage for a third annual cleaning.

The plan has added the benefit in response to studies suggesting that improving oral health might help patients respond better to conditions such as diabetes and heart disease, AARP services says.
