Lincoln National Corp. has completed the previously announced sale of 3 Charlotte, N.C., radio stations to Greater Media Inc.

Greater Media, Braintree, Mass., paid about $100 million in cash for the stations, according to Lincoln, Philadelphia.

The deal includes AM-FM news-and-talk simulcast stations 1110 WBT-AM, 99.3 WBT-FM, and 107.9 WLNK-FM.

Lincoln acquired the radio stations in 2006, when it bought Jefferson Pilot Corp., Greensboro, N.C.

Jefferson Pilot started getting into the broadcasting business in the 1970s, as a hedge against inflation.
