Cerulli: Financial Workers Focus On Holding Customers

Asset managers, insurance executives, bankers and other financial service personnel see keeping clients as their biggest business challenge in 2008.

Researchers at Cerulli Associates, Boston, say 49% of survey respondents at financial service firms reported that their main challenge will be acquiring and holding onto clients.

Sales force concerns ranked second, at 15%.

When asked about client concerns, 40% of the respondents cited wealth accumulation and 27% cited generating retirement income.
