Personnel Changes: Phoenix, Invesco, Others

Phoenix Companies Inc. has promoted Thomas Buckingham to senior vice president, product development, for life and annuity.

Buckingham previously was vice president of life and annuity operations transformation, according to Phoenix, Hartford.

Buckingham has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a master’s degree in management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

In other personnel news:

- Invescor Ltd., Farmington Hills, Mich., has hired 7 new staff members to run a unit that provides variable life settlement brokerage services, the company says.

New senior-level employees include Stuart Egrin, chief compliance officer; Joe Sheffieck, managing director; and Norma Kwek, marketing specialist.

- WellPoint Inc., Indianapolis, has hired John Langenus to be senior vice president and president of its Anthem national accounts division.

Langenus has been president of group health care at Coventry Health Care Inc., Bethesda, Md. He also has been a captain in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Langenus has a master’s degree in business from the University of Hartford.

- The Jacobson Group, Chicago, has hired David Coons to be senior vice president of Jacobson Solutions – Subject Matter Experts, the firm’s senior-level interim talent division.

Coons has a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and a master’s degree in business from Loyola University.

Jacobson has promoted Michael Loiacano, who previously held the subject matter experts post, to senior vice president and managing director of Jacobson Executive Search.
