California Agencies Shift Life Agents

LISI Inc., a general agency servicing health insurance brokers in California, announced it will transfer its life insurance agents to the Leisure Werden & Terry Agency.

The transfer to LWT’s San Francisco office will enable LISI to focus on its health insurance brokerage services, according to Philip Lebherz, chairman and chief executive officer of LISI, San Mateo.

Under the new agreement, the San Francisco office of LWT will handle all Transamerica Occidental Life Insurance and Investments, and Prudential Financial business that had been handled by LISI.

LWT offers life insurance, annuity products and services for agents, financial planners, and property and casualty producers.

The transfer of LISI’s Transamerica Occidental Life Insurance became retroactively effective Oct. 15, while its transfer of Prudential Financial business will be effective Jan. 1, the company says.
