Marvin Feldman will be the president of the Life and Health Insurance Foundation for Education starting Jan. 1, 2008.
Feldman, chairman of the board at LIFE, Arlington, Va., will succeed David Woods, who is retiring.
Feldman is the owner of the Feldman Agency, Clearwater, Fla.
He was president of the Million Dollar Round Table, Park Ridge, Ill., in 2002, and he has served on the LIFE board since 2004.
Feldman also is a founder of First National Community Bank, East Liverpool, Ohio, and a past chairman of the East Liverpool City Hospital.
Feldman was slated to serve as the immediate past chairman of LIFE.
Mark Johnson, the 2007 immediate past chairman, has agreed to serve in that post for another year, LIFE says.
