A major life insurer and annuity issuer is trying to simplify its computer systems.

Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, Minneapolis, will be using the Wealth Management Accelerator software from Computer Sciences Corp., El Segundo, to consolidate 6 old life and annuity systems, according to CSC.

The project involves 5 million contracts, including universal and variable universal life policies, and many fixed and variable annuities.

Thrivent already has been using CSC software to support other activities for about 25 years, CSC says.
