A health insurer is expanding coverage options for residents of the Lubbock, Texas, area.
Assurant Health, Milwaukee, a unit of Assurant Inc., New York, has joined with TeamChoice, Lubbock, to set up the Platinum TeamChoice network for Assurant Health insureds in Lubbock.
The network, which offers access to providers such as University Medical Center and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, will help Assurant Health cut premiums for insured individuals in the area 15% to 30%, the company says.
Assurant Health will make the network available to small businesses starting Jan. 1, 2008 and to individuals starting Feb. 1, 2008. Current Assurant Health policyholders can opt into the new network by calling their agents.
