The parent of Finetre and the old LifeLink has combined the two operations.

Ebix Inc., Atlanta, says it has combined Finetre, Herndon, Va., and EbixLife, Park City, Utah, which used to be LifeLink under the name EbixExchange.

The newly combined unit will focus on supporting processing of life insurance and annuity products, Ebix says.

Ebix acquired LifeLink, the maker of the WinFlex life illustration software and the VitalSalesSuite research tool set 3 years ago, and it acquired Finetre about a year ago.

Ebix now wants to create a single business that can support all life and annuity research, illustration, order-entry and post-sale needs, Ebix says.

Dan Delity, formerly vice president of sales at Finetre, will run EbixExchange, Ebix says.

In addition to selling research and processing tools, EbixExchange will sell "customized technology solutions," Ebix says.
