A group life insurer is doing more business with Assist America Inc.

The Wellesley, Mass.-based U.S. division of Sun Life Financial Inc., Toronto, will extend emergency travel assistance benefits from Assist America, Princeton, N.J., to customers of group life operations acquired from Genworth Financial Inc., Richmond, Va., in June.

Members of the gold Genworth group life plans now will have access to Assist America benefits when they travel 100 miles or more from home, Sun Life says.

Spouses and dependent minor children of covered employees also can use the travel assistance benefits, Sun Life says.
