A Midwestern insurer has chosen a new top executive.
Mutual Trust Holding Cos., Oak Brook, Ill., has hired Stephen Batza to be president and chief executive officer.
Mutual Trust is best known as a writer of participating whole life insurance.
Batza will succeed Gary Eisenbarth, who is retiring after being the president and CEO of Mutual Trust for 13 years.
Batza previously was chief operating officer in charge of the life operation at Liberty Mutual Group, Boston.
Batza has a bachelor’s degree from Siena College. He holds the Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant professional designations, and he also is a fellow of the Society of Actuaries.
