WellPoint Inc. units today unveiled new 2008 health coverage products for residents of two large states.

Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Richmond, Va., one arm of WellPoint, Indianapolis, rolled out a collect of Lumenos brand health account products.

The collection includes a health reimbursement account, a health savings account, a health incentive account and the Lumenos Health Incentive Account Plus product.

Employers can combine the health account products with health insurance or with a self-funded health plan, Anthem says.

Meanwhile, a sister company, Empire BlueCross blue Shield, New York, introduced the Empire Prism plans, which are designed for employers with 2 to 200 employees in 28 eastern and southeastern New York counties.

The plans offer access to the Empire provider network, rich benefits for screenings and preventive care, and other options that can help hold down deductibles and coinsurance rates, Empire says.
