Milliman Inc. says it has added a feature to its MG-ALFA software that can help users put many different computers to work processing complicated tasks.

The MG-ALFA software is actuarial projection software that can come up with forecasts by running simulations indicating how an insurance product or company might perform under many different conditions.

Milliman, Seattle, now updated the software to plug into the Windows Compute Cluster Server 2003 system.

WCCS integration should help speed up processing of jobs that would be difficult to run on a single computer, Milliman says.
