Allstate Workplace Division announced it has added 3 optional features to its limited-benefit American Heritage Life minimedical policy.

Customers get more wellness benefits, higher limits on the hospital indemnity benefit, and an additional prescription drug benefit that provides extra savings for employees who choose generic equivalents.

The expanded wellness benefit can pay for any wellness services delivered by a physician, according to Allstate Workplace, a unit of Allstate Corp., Northbrook, Ill.

Employees can choose higher coverage options on the hospital indemnity benefit if they wish. Those who choose generic drugs under the prescription plan will pay a maximum $10 deductible.

Allstate Workplace Division is the marketing name for American Heritage Life Insurance Company, Jacksonville, Fla., an Allstate subsidiary.
