An insurer has started an obesity management program aimed at workers facing severe weight problems.

Nationwide Better Health, an arm of Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, Columbus, Ohio, says the new program is designed for workers with a body mass index of at least 40, or a BMI of 35 along with a condition such as diabetes, high blood pressure or heart disease.

The program will use diets, exercise and counseling to help workers lose weight, Nationwide says.
