SEC Commissioner Roel Campos will join the law firm of Cooley Godward Kronish in early September, at which time he will leave his SEC post. Campos will serve as a partner in the firm’s business litigation practice in the Washington, D.C. office.
Frank Fernandez died suddenly at age 53 on September 4. Fernandez was well known within the investment community as the chief economist and director of research for the Securities Industry Association (SIA), where he ran the research operation from 1999 until earlier this year.
David Kalt, co-founder of optionsXpress, is stepping down as CEO, effective September 30. The Chicago-based company said that David Fisher, president, will take over as CEO.
George Kinder, president of the Kinder Institute of Life Planning, announced that Susan Galvan, who co-founded the institute with him in 2002 and served as CEO, has resigned to pursue other interests.
