A life insurer has chosen a firm to help clients with retirement plan fund selection and asset allocation.
Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company, Omaha, Neb., says it has agreed to market the investment selection and monitoring services of Mesirow Financial Holdings Inc., Chicago, to 401(k) plan sponsors.
Mesirow also will provide co-fiduciary services at no additional cost for 401(k) plans that use the funds that Mesirow recommends, Mutual of Omaha says.
The arrangement will give Mutual of Omaha the ability to offer fiduciary support at the product level, the plan level and the participant level, the company says.
