StanCorp Expands Use Of Mainspring Brand

The parent of Standard Insurance Company is making more use of a name that it has started applying to the company’s retirement products and services.

StanCorp Financial Group Inc., Portland, Ore., has set up a Mainspring Retirement Plan Solutions operation that includes the Mainspring Managed, the Mainspring Guided and the Mainspring Independent participant planning tracks, the company says.

“All retirement plan products and services provided by the Standard are now sold under the Mainspring name,” the company says.

The services now sold under the Mainspring Managed name previously were sold under the name Advice Path, Standard says.

Standard is selling the Mainspring services both through the Standard group annuity and trust product programs.

Standard has created new account statements, newsletters, enrollment kits, Web sites and trade ads that use the Mainspring name, the company says.
