State regulators have settled with a health insurer in connection with concerns about marketing of health coverage to older consumers.

The Oklahoma Insurance Department will be imposing a $500,000 fine on Humana Inc., Louisville, Ky., to resolve allegations that the company used unlicensed agents to sell Medicare Advantage plans and Medicare prescription drug plans to Oklahoma residents age 65 and older, department officials say.

Humana did not contest the allegations, and it has agreed to the amount of the fine, officials say.

Representatives for Humana were not immediately available to comment about the fine.
