QuadraMed Acquires Misys Patient Record Arm

A health information technology company is buying another health information business.

QuadraMed Corp., Reston, has agreed to buy the computerized patient record assets of Misys Healthcare Systems, Raleigh, N.C., from Misys P.L.C., London, for $33 million in cash.

QuadraMed, a company that develops systems that help hospitals and other health care organizations manage patient care and billing, says it will hire about 150 Misys Healthcare computerized patient record employees.

The employees work in offices in New York, Raleigh, and San Bernardino, Calif.
