It’s not an item found at a ship’s chandler nor a fashion icon. Pershing’s iNautix (USA) is a new business unit that provides, according to Marc Butler, “holistic” technology outsourcing services to Pershing’s wide range of customers. With 170 people in the unit, going up to 200 employees by year end, Butler, managing director of the business and product development group at iNautix, and Pershing CIO Suresh Kumar say the services to be rendered include business consulting, data warehousing, document management, portfolio consolidation, commission payout systems, and custom technology solutions. “We pick the solutions and host them” says Kumar, allowing the clients to be more efficient. For example, Kumar notes that smaller firms especially would be, “crazy to have their own imaging systems.” Butler says iNautix will charge for its services as do other consultants, based on building a project and then maintaining it.
