Petersen International Underwriters Inc. has introduced the Prime Flex Loan Adjustment Rider.

Customers can use the optional rider with the Petersen family of bank loan indemnification disability plans, according to Petersen International, Valencia, Calif.

A customer can combine the rider with the loan indemnification plan of a high-limit disability insurance arrangement to create a fixed monthly or lump-sum benefit that will vary to reflect changes in amounts due on adjustable-rate loans.

In some cases, the rider could increase the benefit amount as much as 20% if that is what is needed to accommodate changes in the loan interest rates, Petersen International says.
