Many large and midsize employers are thinking about making more use of the Internet to promote wellness.
Researchers at Watson Wyatt Worldwide, Washington, have published that finding in a summary of results from a recent survey of 182 employers.
About 73% of the employers said they plan to set up a health improvement employee Web portal within the next 2 years, and 65% said they will be using the Web to offer employees “total compensation” information, the researchers report.
About 46% of participant employers said they handle all benefits enrollment activities through the Web, and 27% said they use the Web to handle all notifications of additions of dependents and other life events.
