Wealth2k Inc. has come up with an administrative system that can help consumers use life insurance to create the equivalent of personal defined benefit retirement plans.

The new DB-by-INS program gives owners of variable universal life and indexed universal life policies advice about how much to pay each year to keep cash value accumulation on target, according to Wealth2k, Hingham, Mass.

One key component of the program is a service that will ensure that registered representatives and registered investment advisors use proper sales and marketing practices and warn clients about the effects of the program on liquidity, Wealth2k says.
