AEGON Direct Marketing Services Inc. has started selling a health account plan and a stand-alone version of the plan’s wellness incentive program in Michigan.
Destiny Health, Chicago, helped create the U.S. health account plan market, but it has been struggling to get employers’ attention in Illinois and other states.
The company, a unit of Discovery Holdings Ltd., Sandton, South Africa, recently picked AEGON Direct, Baltimore, a unit of AEGON N.V., The Hague, Netherlands, to help it ramp up marketing of its Destiny Health Employment Plan health account program and its Vitality wellness program.
The Vitality wellness program offers participating employees health club discounts and other concrete incentives to take steps to try to improve their health.
