Principal Adds E-ESOP Communications Tool

A retirement plan services company has developed a Web-based administration service for privately held employee stock ownership plans.

Principal Financial Group Inc., Des Moines, Iowa, says its new Principal e-Distribution Services system can identify ESOP participants who are eligible distributions, send out eligibility notices, cut checks, generate tax reports and send election reports to plan sponsors.
