The Pittsburgh and Camp Hill, Pa., Blue Cross and Blue Shield units of Highmark Inc. are introducing a Web-based personal health record system.

The password-protected PHR sites can store information that members enter themselves as well as information supplied by Highmark Blue Shield and Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, the plans say.

The PHR system will give members who have health conditions such as asthma or diabetes automatic access to a condition manager system that will steer members to information about dealing with those conditions, the plans say.
