Anthem Opens Colorado Account Plans To Small Groups

A unit of WellPoint Inc. is expanding its product menu for individuals and small employers in the Centennial State.

The WellPoint operation in Colorado, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, says it now is offering Lumenos brand health reimbursement account, health savings account and health incentive account programs for individuals and small employers as well as for large employers.

Anthem Blue began marketing the programs to large Colorado employers in January.

Consumers who buy Lumenos products can get preventive care benefits and personal health coaching, and many consumers who complete wellness programs can qualify for financial rewards, Anthem Blue says.

Another unit of WellPoint, Indianapolis, began marketing the Lumenos plans to small groups in California in March.
