A life settlement firm has secured a new credential in the Centennial State.

Legacy Benefits Corp., New York, now has a life settlement provider license in Colorado, the company says.

Legacy began doing business in Colorado before the state adopted its life settlement provider licensing system, and the company was able to continue normal operations while going through the new license application process, the company says.

Legacy also has obtained licenses to do business in Georgia and New Jersey in recent months, and it has applied for licenses in other states where it is not yet licensed, the company says.
